Spent the day doing check in details. Medical recheck, picking up food, and crew gear. The food has been alright for camp food. French toast, potatoes, sausage and fruit for breakfast. Lunch was pizza and salad. Crew 714-M-02 hits the trail at 8 am on Tuesday. The sunrise this morning look like it was on fire this morning.
It seems like we have been on the train forever today. Almost everyone had a tough time sleeping last night. There is not a lot of room for tall people on the train. Had delays because of the engine having issues so we sat for over in hour in Princeton Illinois with no power so there was no air conditioner. We have been sitting on the Kansas and Colorado border for almost two hours. This is due to the fact that we are four and half hours late so other trains have priority. So this is how the boys spent their time and how some of the dads spent theirs. It's 6:15 and we are currently 8 and 1/2 hours behind schedule. The train is almost out of food. We are suppose to be into Raton Colorado at 7:30ish.
Left around 6:15 this morning. Spent about there hours at union station. Finally got on the train at 3.
